How to make the most of Microsoft Ignite | The Tour
With Microsoft Ignite | The Tour fast approaching, now is the time to plan your itinerary to maximise your experience at this highlight event.
Held on 13-14 February at the International Convention Centre, this year’s event promises to be a good one, with opportunities to upskill in the latest technologies, network with the experts and discover best practices around cloud, data and business intelligence.
With the countdown on, we asked Nicole Robinson, Microsoft Australia’s Go-To-Market Lead (Commercial Partner Team), to shed some light on how can partners can get the most out of this technical conference.
As a Go-To-Market Lead, Nicole plays a key role in ensuring partners get the most from their Microsoft solutions so they can achieve their goals and drive digital transformation. Here’s her advice on how partners can maximise their Microsoft Ignite experience.
“The best advice I can give to partners is to plan in advance and to plan to attend the full two days. The scale of this event is huge – we’re expecting up to 8000 people to attend – so I’d highly encourage partners to review the materials online around the agenda, presentations, speakers and exhibitors to determine an itinerary that aligns with what they want to get out of this event.
“If you want guidance on the day, don’t be afraid to ask our people. We’ll have more than 350 experts on the floor throughout the conference to help you navigate the right modules, workshops and presentations, so you can have the best experience.”
Bring your questions
“This year’s event brings together over 100 technical sessions and workshops covering everything from the future of cloud dev, data, IT and business intelligence.
This is a prime opportunity to hear from our engineers and to ask the tough questions one-on-one.
If you need technical engineering advice, this is your chance to get your questions answered.”
Work the floor
“With so many people and sponsors attending, Microsoft Ignite | The Tour, Sydney, is a fantastic opportunity for our partners to form new relationships with other partners. There will be many formal and informal networking events, from presentations in product theatres, hang outs, user groups and meetups, so there’s plenty of time to network not only with customers but with other partners and sponsors, too.”
